Controversial Geocon project halted: what this means for your summer

Geocon is not allowed to do any building work - including demolition of existing infrastructure - on the Phillip swimming pool site until it gets a lease variation approved, the ACT government has confirmed.

The 50-metre outdoor pool at Phillip will be open to the public for use this summer. Opening day is Saturday, October 24.

A lease variation has not yet been formally lodged by Geocon, the City and Environment Directorate confirmed this week.
