Two years ago Ashleigh Gentle gave Richelle Hill a quick tutorial on how to pop and spray the champagne as the pair shared the Noosa Triathlon podium.

Hill's training wheels are now officially off as the rising Australian wraps her head around this month's thrilling U23 world title and the prospect of competing in a Noosa race without her idol.
