Animal welfare experts are appealing for a home for a gentle giant.
Ludo is a four-year-old greyhound who is currently in foster care through Dogs Trust West Calder.
His carers say he is a sweet boy who enjoys the quiet life.
A spokeswoman for Dogs Trust said: “Ludo loves to wander around the garden for a sniff before curling up on his bed for a snooze with a soft, squeaky toy. He is an affectionate dog who likes meeting new people.
“He can’t resist a fuss from his best friends and will lean in for more cuddles.
“Ludo loves food and enjoys playing search and find games with tasty treats.
“He is a nervous boy who needs a patient family who are home throughout the day to help him settle into his new home.
“While he enjoys his walks, he can become worried by new experiences, so prefers to walk in peaceful places where he can set the pace.
“His ideal new home would have an enclosed garden where he can explore and relax off-lead. Ludo is very polite to other dogs he meets on walks and could live with another calm four-legged friend of similar size.
“He is a loving boy who would make an excellent companion for a quiet household.”
