Genshin Impact is creeping closer to the end of Sumeru’s spotlight. It feels like just yesterday that HoYoverse introduced the Dendro element and the latest batch of Archon Quests, and now the developers seem to be wrapping up loose ends — and connecting players back to previously released regions. On March 31, the Genshin Impact 3.6 livestream revealed the latest details about characters Baizhu and Kaveh, and other new content for the upcoming update.

When is the Genshin Impact version 3.6 release date?
Genshin Impact 3.6 will launch on April 12, 2023. If it's anything like past updates, it will launch the day before for folks on the East Coast, at around 9 p.m. ET.
What are the Genshin Impact version 3.6 character banners?
Genshin Impact 3.6 features the following banners:
- Phase 1: Nahida and Nilou
- Phase 2: Baizhu and Ganyu, Kaveh as 4-star
Nahida and Nilou start off the 3.6 update with their first reruns. Nahida excels in basically any Dendro-based team comp because of her powerful, consistent Dendro-application abilities.
Nilou isn’t as versatile as her fellow Sumeru 5-star, but should be worth considering for anyone running a Bloom team. She works especially well with other Dendro and Hydro characters, including Nahida.
Baizhu and Kaveh are the latest playable characters coming to Genshin Impact 3.6. However, they already appeared in Genshin Impact story quests before their upcoming debut. You might remember Baizhu from Liyue’s Babu Pharmacy, which the Traveler visits during their adventure in Liyue. Kaveh, the famous architect that built the Palace of Alcazarzaray in Sumeru, also appears during the Traveler’s journey to argue with his roommate, Alhaitham.
Baizhu is a Dendro 5-star with HP-scaling support powers. Meanwhile, Kaveh is a Dendro Claymore DPS whose kit mirrors Razor’s.
Is there a new boss in Genshin Impact version 3.6?
HoYoverse confirmed a new area coming in Genshin Impact 3.6, featuring two new bosses. One of these is the Dragon of Verdure, a new Dendro dragon weekly boss that’s part of the new Archon Quest. The dragon can spawn additional enemies like the Oceanid weekly boss. Another is the Iniquitous Baptist, an enemy from the Abyss Order. New enemies like Anemo and Hydro Hilichurls will also be a part of Genshin Impact 3.6.
Is there a new artifact set in Genshin Impact version 3.6?
The Genshin Impact 3.6 livestream showcased two new artifact sets. Some fans are already theorizing that Vourukasha’s Glow was an ideal set for Dehya’s HP-dependent kit, while the Nymph’s Dream was ideal for Childe as a Hydro DPS. However, the person who reposted the information noted that the leaker didn’t have a track record for covering leaks, so the information about these abilities is questionable.
Nymph’s Dream
- 2-Piece: Hydro DMG Bonus +15
- 4-Piece: After Normal, Charged, and Plunging Attacks, Elemental Skills, and Elemental Bursts hit opponents, 1 stack of Mirrored Nymph will be triggered, lasting 8s. When under the effect of 1, 2, or 3, or more Mirrored Nymph stacks, ATK will be increased by 7%/16%/25%, and Hydro DMG will be increased by 4%/9%/15%. Mirrored Nymph stacks created by Normal, Charged, and Plunging Attacks, Elemental Skills, and Elemental Bursts exist independently.
Vourukasha’s Glow
- 2-Piece: HP +20%
- 4-Piece: Elemental Skill and Elemental Burst DMG will be increased by 10%. After the equipping character takes DMG, the aforementioned DMG bonus is increased by 80% for 5s. This effect increase can have 5 stacks. The duration of each stack is counted independently. These effects can be triggered even when the equipping character is not on the field.
