Update 3.3 for Genshin Impact has brought another Anemo character into the game with Faruzan, who specializes in supporting other characters of this element. The archer, who researches ancient machines at the Sumeru Akademiya, thus takes on a limited niche role. However, for anyone who likes to use characters like Wanderer or Xiao as their main source of DPS, Faruzan is a tremendous asset. This guide will show you how to make the most of Faruzan in Genshin Impact with her best weapons, artifacts, and teams.
Genshin Impact Faruzan: Best Weapons
Faruzan’s most important skill is her Elemental Burst – it erodes the Anemo resistance of enemies, clearing the way for the team’s main DPS source to do massive damage. Since this skill costs a lot of energy, the Energy Recharge is incredibly important for Faruzan. Moreover, Elemental Mastery is another important stat for boosting the damage of reactions such as Swirls.
The only 5-star bow with a bonus to Energy Recharge is Elegy For The End, which is thus recommended for Faruzan. Additionally, it provides more Elemental Mastery and provides a stackable effect that boosts the entire team’s Attack. For the support role Faruzan is filling, this is a perfect fit.
Alternatively, you should have the following weapons in mind for Faruzan:
- Sacrificial Bow (4-star bow) – increases Energy Recharge, possibly skips ability cooldowns.
- Favonius Warbow (4-star bow) – increases Energy Recharge, creates additional energy particles on critical hits; available via one early quest, making it a good free-to-play option.
- End Of The Line (4-star bow) – increases Energy Recharge, provides area damage effect; available from the Fishing Club in Sumeru.
- Fading Twilight (4-star bow) – increases Energy Recharge and damage; event weapon from version 2.8.
Genshin Impact Faruzan: Best Artifacts
Faruzan, as a support character, takes on the important task of carrying a support artifact set for the team. The options here are Viridescent Venerer or Noblesse Oblige.
Viridescent Venerer helps to further weaken the elemental resistance of enemies. You should use this set if your team primarily relies on reactions to deal damage.
Noblesse Oblige provides a generous bonus to the Attack stat of the entire team, which is important if your team’s damage comes from standard attacks.
This is how the stat distribution should look like in any case:
- Plume: Attack (main stat), Energy Recharge, Elemental Mastery, Critical Hit Rate, Critical Damage (sub stats).
- Flower: HP (main stat), Energy Recharge, Elemental Mastery, Critical Hit Rate, Critical Damage (sub stats).
- Sands: Energy Recharge (main stat), Elemental Mastery, Critical Hit Rate, Critical Damage, Attack % (sub stats).
- Goblet: Anemo Damage % (main stat), Energy Recharge, Elemental Mastery, Critical Hit Rate, Critical Damage (sub stats).
- Circlet: Critical Damage/Critical Hit Rate (main stat), Energy Recharge, Elemental Mastery, Critical Hit Rate/Critical Damage, Attack % (sub stats).
Genshin Impact Faruzan: Best Teams
As mentioned at the beginning, Faruzan specializes in supporting other Anemo characters. This makes her quite inflexible when it comes to team compositions, as there are currently only three Main DPS characters of this element in the game.
- Wanderer (Main DPS), Yelan (Sub DPS), Faruzan (Support), Bennett (Support).
Wanderer can be replaced by Xiao or Shikanoin Heizou to take the main role in the team. This consists of primarily dealing damage with standard attacks and by triggering Swirls. Yelan and Bennett contribute elemental effects to this, while Faruzan provides damage boosts as well as reducing the opponent’s Anemo resistance. This makes the Main DPS character’s attacks more effective.
Yelan’s Sub DPS role can alternatively be taken by characters like Xingqiu, Fischl, or Layla, and instead of Bennett, Sangonomiya Kokomi, Kuki Shinobu, or Jean are suitable supports – you should fill these two slots depending on the Main DPS you choose, are they supposed to complement them, not Faruzan.
Since Faruzan has only this limited use and loses a lot of effectiveness without unlocking her higher constellation levels, she is currently only recommended for players who have one of the three mentioned DPS characters and really want to maximize their potential.
