Pop star and deaconess in one: Barbara has cult status in Genshin Impact’s Mondstadt region for many reasons. The Hydro character is given to every user of the game for free once they reach Adventurer Level 20, making her a widely available option as a Support. Genshin Impact Barbara: Best Weapons
Barbara heals her troop members based on her own maximum HP, so this attribute is of immense importance to her. If you need Barbara to be a pure healer, this should be your only focus. However, the introduction of the Dendro element in update 3.0 has given her a secondary purpose: Thanks to her constant Hydro application, Barbara is an ideal addition to teams based around the Bloom reaction. For this, Elemental Mastery is a critical factor. This guide will introduce you to the right equipment for both roles.
The best weapon for Barbara as a healer is Thrilling Tales Of Dragon Slayers, a readily available 3-star catalyst. It raises HP and gives an Attack bonus to the character that is swapped in after the catalyst’s wielder. Alternatively, go for the Prototype Amber, which also improves HP.
The best weapon for Barbara in a Bloom team is Sacrificial Fragments, a 4-star catalyst. It boosts Elemental Mastery and randomly skips ability cooldowns after damaging opponents with a skill. Overall, this provides a great boost to reaction damage.
Bloom-Barbara has the following alternative options:
- Mappa Mare (4-star catalyst) – increases Elemental Mastery, Elemental Damage.
- Wandering Evenstar (4-star catalyst) increases Elemental Mastery, increases ally Attack.
- Fruit of Fulfillment (4-star catalyst) – increases Energy Recharge, raises Elemental Mastery after reactions.
Genshin Impact Barbara: Best Artifacts
When it comes to artifacts, there are also huge differences between the roles. Barbara as a healer should go for a full set of Ocean-Hued Clam. This boosts healing and allows her to convert some of the performed healing into damage. Since Barbara contributes little DPS output otherwise, this artifact is a strong addition for her.
On the other hand, if you are playing Barbara on a Bloom team, a full set of Gilded Dreams is recommended. It improves the Elemental More of the bearer as well as the entire squad, which is ideal for a reaction-based Support build.
Pay attention to the following distribution of attributes:
- Plume: Attack (main stat), Elemental Mastery, HP %, Energy Recharge (sub stats).
- Flower: HP (main stat), Elemental Mastery, HP %, Energy Recharge (sub stats).

Bloom teams have taken a prominent place in the text so far – here’s what one such squad looks like:
Two Hydro and Dendro figures apiece provide for both elements’ resonances, which increases Barbara’s healing as well as the damage of the Bloom reaction. The singer works primarily with Collei to trigger these reactions. Ayato is also perfect for this team, as his DPS output benefits from the health boost provided by the Hydro Resonance.
