The Seattle Seahawks suffered a rather frustrating loss on the road to the Cincinnati Bengals. Seattle fell 17-13, squandering a prime performance from their defense. The blame falls squarely on the shoulders of the offense, and more importantly, its leader: quarterback Geno Smith.
Smith had a rare clunker of a performance. Despite throwing for 323 yards, Smith threw a pair of interceptions, and showed exceptionally poor pocket presense in the biggest moments of the game. It was a bad day at the office for Smith, and he’ll be the first one to tell you as such:
Interesting: Geno Smith says on final play 4th down, Bengals doubled DK Metcalf “probably” doubled Tyler Lockett both out right. So he was trying to hit TE Colby Parkinson 1 on 1 on the left. Then he got hit.

It is refreshing to hear a quarterback take accountability. Smith has been exceptional at the podium during his time in Seattle, always being quick to praise others for a great game but taking his lumps when they lose.
If history tells us anything, Smith does well bouncing back from a bad play or game. It should not surprise anyone if he does so again when the Seahawks host the Arizona Cardinals.
