The Seattle Seahawks were without starting quarterback Geno Smith last week. Suffering a groin injury in practice late last week, Smith was held out of the game against San Francisco. Now the question remains: will we see Geno Smith against the Philadelphia Eagles?
According to Smith, he has been receiving constant physical therapy and treatment for his injuries. It is clear the veteran is determined to play on Monday night.
Geno Smith says groin strain & bruised throwing arm feel better thanks to “round the clock” physical therapy/treatment. Has brought a therapist into his home for nighttime and 5am treatments.
Will you play Monday #Seahawks vs Eagles? “We’ll see.”

In replacement, Drew Lock got his first start since 2021 against the 49ers. Lock played admirably, throwing for 269 yards and two touchdowns. However, Lock did throw two interceptions, and could have had at least two more that were dropped by San Francisco defenders.
Smith has not had another Pro Bowl caliber year in Seattle, but it is clear he is the best quarterback for the Seahawks right now. The offense can reach its full potential, this season, with Smith under center.
If Seattle wants an upset to help restart their season, they will need No. 7 healthy and starting.
