Gen V star speaks out on surprise cancelation: "There's so much I wanna (and will) say"

Gen V.

Gen V's Jaz Sinclair has broken her silence on the surprise cancelation of The Boys spin-off after two seasons.

"There’s so much I wanna (and will) say, but for today I just want to say thank you from the bottom of my heart," Sinclair posted on her Instagram Stories. "I’m so happy you’re here and I’m so grateful for this incredible experience."

Whether we can expect to hear more from Sinclair – who played Marie Moreau in Gen V and is set to appear in The Boys season 5 – is unknown. The cryptic first line of what the actor wants to say may raise some eyebrows, however.

The news of Gen V's cancelation arrived on April 24, with confirmation that the college-set spin-off of The Boys wouldn't be returning for a third season. Alongside that was mention The Boys 1950s prequel Vought Rising (starring Jensen Ackles' Soldier Boy) would debut on Prime Video in 2027.

That all marks a sudden change in what we now know as the Vought Cinematic Universe. The Boys: Mexico has also been long mooted, but Eric Kripke felt optimistic about the project in a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly.

“They just delivered a draft of the pilot to Amazon," Kripke revealed. "Amazon seemed to really like it and seemed to be making all the right noises."

Right now, all eyes are on The Boys' endgame. Billy Butcher actor Karl Urban has already pinpointed the penultimate episode as being full of bloodshed. A calendar theory, meanwhile, might have tipped fans off to when to expect major character deaths in the final season.
