Gen.G sweep KT Rolster 3-0 at LCK 2026 playoffs, book seventh straight Worlds trip

KT KT Rolster LCK Worlds Gold

Gen.G Esports swept kt Rolster 3-0 on Sept. 1 in the Upper Bracket Round 2 of the 2026 LCK Playoffs, booking their spot at the 2026 World Championship in the process. The victory means that one of the most consistent streaks in Korean esports stays alive for another year, with Gen.G nailing an impressive seventh consecutive Worlds qualification.

The series assumed a Bo5 Fearless Draft format – but, thanks to Gen.G’s dominance, it didn’t need a fourth game. True, KT controlled the early tempo in Game 1, securing four drakes and holding a slim gold lead for much of the map. Then, Canyon happened. Gen.G's jungler stole the Elder Dragon and the buff turned the tide instantly, letting Gen.G close out with a clean ace.
