Gemma Collins slapped by Joan Collins in outrageous chat show scenes

Gemma Collins had a fiery showdown with Dame Joan Collins on Channel 4's Late Night Lycett on Friday night.

The 42-year-old ex TOWIE star was 'slapped' across the face by the 89-year-old soap queen on the comedy entertainment show.

Comedian Joe Lycett, 34, demanded the pair show off their acting skills in a dramatic scene as they went head to head over who is the top Collins.

Dame Joan is most famous for playing the role of vengeful schemer Alexis Carrington Colby in the soap opera Dynasty.

Gemma read from the script and said: "Step aside, Dame Joan! There's a new Collins in town."

But Dame Joan hit back: "I'm the original O.G," before Gemma replied: "You are, honey. I'll give you that but move over b**ch because I'm here,"

Dame Joan then lifted her hand and mimicked a slap to Gemma's face.

Gemma recently said that she believes the ITV2 reality show that launched the careers of the GC, Mark Wright and Joey Essex has lost its star power.

Gemma, 42, was a hit with her diva antics but doubts anyone in the 31st series could follow in her stiletto-clad footsteps.

She laughs: “I watched it the other night and I’ll never get those minutes of my life back. What’s happened?

“There were about two scenes in it. Chloe Brockett was good, and the new girl Elma [Pazar] but the rest of them were terrible. “There’s no stars there, darling – we were stars.”
