It's really lovely when you have similar interests to your parents or children and can spend time together doing what makes you happy – as actor and former model Gemma Atkinson knows. Gemma, 37, best known for playing Lisa Hunter in Hollyoaks, has shared a sweet video of her three-year-old daughter, Mia, copying her as she exercises and lifts weights in her gym at home.
The adorable clip, which Gemma shared to Instagram, has received more than 70,000 in less than a day and shows little Mia copying her mum – doing the same stretches and using foam barbells as "weights" to lift at the same time as her. The lovely clip of mum and daughter sharing quality time together is set to Alicia Keys' 2012 chart-topper Girl on Fire and has received a lot of love from friends and followers online. Among the comments from well-known faces singer Fleur East – who recently broke down as she revealed she would be competing in the upcoming series of Strictly Come Dancing – said: "This is amazing!! What an incredible example you are a mother. Mia is so adorable." Body coach Joe Wicks, who recently led a mass workout at Cardiff's Principality Stadium, praised the pair and said: "Love love love this".

Sharing the video, Gemma wrote: "Every Saturday we spend time in the gym. She asks questions, she watches, she learns, she grows. I hope you always want to train with me Mia."
Gemma's fiancé and Mia's dad, Strictly Come Dancing professional dancer Gorka Marquez, commented a string of heart-eyes emojis and said: "My little super girls!" The pair announced they were expecting a baby on Instagram in February 2019 and Gemma gave birth to Mia on July 4 that year. The pair announced their engagement two years later on February 14, 2021.
Gemma first took our screens in Hollyoaks back in 2001 and starred in the soap until 2005 before making a surprise return earlier this year. She currently presents the drive-time show on Hits Radio UK and The Baby Club on CBeebies while partner Gorka is best-known for being a professional dancer and competing on Strictly Come Dancing for the last five series. In his first series he was partnered with EastEnders actress Tameka Empson and was eliminated on week three of the competition but the following year he finished in second place with singer and former X Factor star Alexandra Burke.
