Gemma Atkinson says 'sorry' to 'attractive' Gorka Marquez as she confesses she 'can't think of anything worse'

Gemma Atkinson has given an honest-as-ever response to one suggestion on how to speed up labour. The heavily pregnant star is eagerly awaiting the arrival of her second child with her Strictly Come Dancing star fiance Gorka Marquez.

Bury-born Gemma, 38, and dancer Gorka, 32, announced back in January that they were set to expand their brood with a baby boy this summer after welcoming daughter Mia back in 2019. Since sharing the wonderful news, Gemma has been keeping her fans and followers updated with her second pregnancy.

And with the Hits Radio host now seemingly full term after saying back in April that she had been told her 'little man' could arrive at "any time from the back few weeks in June to the front few weeks in July" after sharing why she hadn't asked for a specific 'due date', it appears fans want to help her speed up the process.

Taking to Instagram, a usually keen gym-goer Gemma was seen continuing to keep moving and shared an impressive video of her latest round of stretches. "Not sure how much more space I can make for you little man," she typed alongside a compilation video of her latest moves.

She went on to type: "Stretching has still been my go to for feeling SO much better, especially at this stage. He’s obviously very comfy which is good to know." But Gemma did share the moving reason why she'd like her son to make his entrance into the world soon - and it was down to her beau Gorka, 32, who is due to return to work soon after signing up to the 2023 run of Strictly.

"I’m very much still in the mindset of he’ll arrive when he’s ready as opposed to a specific date," the former Hollyoaks and Emmerdale star wrote. "However, it would be nice if he was ready quite soon so he could spend a little longer with his Papa before rehearsals start (and I could also that way potentially get at least a few hours sleep)."

Later, taking to her Instagram Story, Gemma addressed some of the comments from her 1.2 million followers. Sharing a video of Gorka laying on the sofa while appearing to be crunching some crisps, she wrote: "Lots saying the best way to get him out is the same way he got in...

"I mean he's clearly looking attractive but I don't even think he will be able to see my [flower emoji] at this point [laughing face and face palm emoji]."

She then shared a follow-up video in which she appeared to ponder the thought. "I mean, if push comes to shove, pardon the pun, then yeah, I'll take one for the team," Gemma said to the camera referring to herself and her unborn son. "But as it currently stands, I couldn't think of anything worse.

"Oh my god, I can't event see it. I don't even know how I'd do it. Sorry Gorks," she added before typing alongside the video: "Would love to be that sexy up for it mama to be, but truth be told I couldn't think of owt worse than a quick pipe now."

It comes after Gemma shared her clear instruction for Gorka when it comes to the birth of their son. Taking to Instagram on Wednesday (July 5), Gemma shared how she had been to the hospital for what will likely be a 'final' check-up and spoke about how she was approached by another expectant mum.

As she shared the story, it led to Bury-born Gemma speaking about her upcoming reality TV show. Gemma and Gorka announced last month that they have let the cameras in to film her private life for the very first time and shared the trailer for Gemma & Gorka: Life Behind the Lens ahead of its release this summer.

In response to her videos, Gemma was asked: "Are you going to film [the] labour?" to which the mum-of-two-to-be had a very direct response and shared how she has given Gorka one main instruction when it comes to their son being born. "Gosh no!" she typed on her Instagram Stories alongside a screengrab of the image.

"That would put everyone off their meals I'm sure!" she went on to write with a crying laughing emoji. "No one needs to see me crowing. Even Gorka has instructions to stay by my head and well away from the ring of fire that'll prob look like the bellow," she added alongside a crying laughing emoji and a GIF.
