Gemma Atkinson says she 'can’t think of anything worse' as she shares one rule after revealing new reality show

Gemma Atkinson admitted she 'can't think of anything worse' as she shared the rule she has in place after revealing her new, and first-ever, reality show. The Hits Radio host has let the cameras in to film her private life for the very first time with her fiance Gorka Marquez.

The couple, who are set to welcome their second child into the world any day now, were quickly praised and supported by their celebrity pals and fans over the announcement on social media on Monday (June 26).

Gemma, 38, and Strictly Come Dancing star Gorka, 32, shared the trailer for Gemma & Gorka: Life Behind the Lens ahead of its release next month.

"We’re so excited to announce our brand new show “Gemma & Gorka: Life behind the lens” which will air on @wtvchannel and @uktvplay this summer!" the pair, who met when Gemma was a contestant on BBC One's Strictly back in 2017, revealed.

They went on to explain how the 'wonderful crew' had been on hand to document their second pregnancy journey "showing not only the absolute utter chaos of our day to day lives at home juggling work, dogs, toddlers and hormones."

Bury-born Gemma then confirmed: "There’s no glam squad, no script and no filters. We agreed the only way to do this, was to keep it real, keep it relatable and just hope for the best. You’ll be joining us at home, on our pre and postnatal appointments, meeting pelvic floor specialists and having the in-depth chats about VBACs and the everyday challenges we all face as parents, because if we’re being honest, we’re all just winging it aren’t we!"

And speaking about the three-part series for the first time, Gemma revealed to the Mirror that it won't quite be access all areas with one thing strictly off limits.

"The crew won’t be in the delivery room. I can’t think of anything worse than a load of people watching me extract a human, and I think it might scare them!" former Hollyoaks and Emmerdale star Gemma said.

"But if my waters break while filming then it’ll be on camera. We’re going to film a lot on our phones in labour, as we did when Mia was born, so we’re going to add a few of those into the show. Apologies in advance if I swear, though. It’s highly likely I’ll be dropping a few F-bombs mid-contraction!"

And when asked by the publication as to what viewers can expect to see from their life, Gemma joked: "We most definitely wouldn’t call ourselves the Cheshire Kardashians!

"Our show is more like a mixture of Phoenix Nights and Shameless – especially when you meet my family and friends. But there’s a little Spanish thrown into the mix too. The perfect combo if you ask us!"
