Gemma Atkinson says 'it's not happening' as she tries to convince Gorka Marquez over son's name before imminent birth

Gemma Atkinson still seems to be fighting a losing battle when it comes to choosing a name for her unborn son ahead of his imminent birth. The Hits Radio host could welcome her second child into the world any day now with her fiance Gorka Marquez.

The couple announced back in January that they would be expanding their brood with a baby boy this summer after welcoming their first child, daughter Mia, back in July 2019. Since sharing the news with their loyal fans, both Gemma, 38, and Gorka, 32, have both been sharing updates on their soon-to-be family of four.

And fans are actually going to get to watch what the last few months have been like for the couple, who met on Strictly Come Dancing back in 2017, as they're set to star in their first-ever reality show.

Earlier this week, the former Emmerdale and Hollyoaks star and the Spanish dancer shared the trailer for Gemma & Gorka: Life Behind the Lens ahead of its release next month. "We’re so excited to announce our brand new show “Gemma & Gorka: Life behind the lens” which will air on @wtvchannel and @uktvplay this summer!" the pair revealed.

They went on to explain how the 'wonderful crew' had been on hand to document their second pregnancy journey "showing not only the absolute utter chaos of our day to day lives at home juggling work, dogs, toddlers and hormones."

Following the news, Gemma has continued to share updates on her second pregnancy as she sits back and waits for her son to make his arrival. And the debate with Gorka around his name is still continuing.

On Tuesday (June 27), Gemma took to Instagram, sharing a video posted by Rocky Balboa. "With this song on this video, ROCKY knows that little man is on the way. Surely that's a sign for the name, no??" she typed alongside a string of crying laughing emojis.

It comes after she revealed she quite liked the name 'Rocky Marquez' for her second child. Last week, Gemma shared a hilarious video of Gorka as she spoke to him inside their Greater Manchester home. The former soap star had put a filter on her beau that made it look like he was crying as he hit back at one of her name suggestions.

"We're picking names and I want Rocky Marquez. I like Rocky but Gorka won't have it," Gemma said to which the Spanish dancer replied: "Yeah I don't. Call him Stallone too. What if I said to you I want to call my kid Rambo?"

His wife-to-be laughed as she said: "No but Rocky Marquez sounds good." Gorka then replied: "Well I like also Jean-Claude!" to which Gemma said:" The mussels from Brussels? Wam Bam Van Dam." Alongside the clip, she jokingly typed: "He's sad because we haven't yet got a name," alongside a string of crying laughing emojis.

In a follow-up video to her latest post, Gemma said to the camera: "Rocky's a no-go! It's not happening," before panning her phone to show Gorka stood the other side of the sofa. "Absolutely not! Even Ariel says no," Gorka said referring to the soft toy of the Disney mermaid he was holding in his hand.

"I'll just have to watch it with him" Gemma conceded before Gorka said: "You can call him Rocky in your own thoughts," which made Gemma giggle as she repeated: "In my own thoughts!"

Gemma has since returned to social media after she shared how she had dug out her own book, The Body Plan For New Mums, ready for after her son arrives and she's ready to get back into her healthy eating and exercise regime.

However, she said she's under 'no illusion' things will be different this time (Gemma Atkinson Instagram)

She then shared some clips from after Mia, who turns four next born, was born and she started to work out again. Senn in her home gym, Gemma was seen squatting as Mia laid on a changing mat and blanket in front of her. "These were some of the very light exercise I did when Mia was little. I started off slow from around 15 wks and built myself up..."

The follow-up video showed Gemma sweating it out on some machinery in the gym, explaining: "And exactly 1 year later, I was back to feeling my absolute best and training was back on point."

The final of the trio of posts to her Instagram Story saw Gemma holding onto a then-baby Mia while surrounded by gym equipment as she acknowledge that things will be different this time around. 2THi8s time around will be different and that's ok," she wrote. "I'm under no illusion that it'll be the same with 2.

"Twice the exhaustion, twice the chaos, twice the fun! BUT, I'll still be doing it. At my own pace, in my own time I'll get back to feeling like myself."
