A Supreme Court jury has found a Victorian man not guilty of murdering his brother but it could not reach a verdict on the charge of manslaughter.
Haig Jacob Arslanian, 40, fired two shots at his 31-year-old brother David, killing him in their Geelong home on October 5, 2020.
Haig did not deny shooting his brother but argued it was an act of self-defence because the 40-year-old was threatened and scared of his younger brother.
The Supreme Court jury on Monday found Haig Arslanian not guilty of murder but could not reach a unanimous verdict on the charge of manslaughter.
The case will return to the Supreme Court at a future date.
