'Gears of War: Reloaded' PS5 Version Canceled in Japan—Here's Why Xbox Made the Call

"Gears of War: Reloaded" is set to launch globally on August 26, but Japanese PlayStation 5 owners are being left behind. Xbox has officially confirmed that, due to regional ratings restrictions and platform-specific policies, the PS5 version of the game will not be released in Japan.

While Xbox and PC users in the country will still get access, the decision has ignited fresh discussion over censorship, console rivalries, and cultural differences in gaming content standards.
