Since shooting to fame on the BBC sitcom Gavin & Stacey, as the title role of Stacey, Welsh actress Joanna Page has had a very successful career. The star is now joining the ITV1 morning show This Morning as a guest presenter.
She will be hosting a brand new mini-series, called Set Jetting, which will see her travel across the UK and Europe next month to locations featured in movies and on telly. The four-part series will feature locations for films and TV shows including Harry Potter, Troy, The Railway Children, Gladiator, Paddington, Downton Abbey, The Crown and James Bond.
Speaking to The Mirror, Joanna explained the Gavin & Stacey connection to her new job. She said: “Gavin & Stacey put Barry Island on the map when it burst onto our screens in 2007 and in the UK – and apparently almost half of us would consider visiting a destination after seeing it on a show or movie.

“I am exploring some of the top filming locations in Europe. Whether it be busy train stations, sleepy Yorkshire towns or historical buildings, virtually anywhere can be the setting for your favourite film and TV. In this series, I’m going to be visiting some of my favourites."
Joanna has worked with some members of the This Morning cast before including Dermot O'Leary, who hosts the show on Fridays alongside Alison Hammond, having co-hosted ITV's The Pet Show with him. Her other presenting credits include Shop Well For Less and in 2022 she appeared on The Masked Dancer as Pig - however, many fans did not recognise her when she was unmasked.
Set Jetting will begin on This Morning in May 2023. You can keep up to date with the latest TV and showbiz news by signing up to the newsletter here.
