Gas facility leak sparks cover-up allegations

A storage tank at a major gas export hub has been leaking methane for almost two decades, sparking allegations from an environmental group of a cover-up.

A Darwin liquid natural gas facility has been emitting the harmful greenhouse gas since it was commissioned in 2006, according to a ConocoPhillips Australia document supplied by the Environment Centre NT.
