Gas bills hit Chicagoans hard

Peoples Gas is reporting record profits, but many of its customers in Chicago are still struggling to pay for the natural gas that heated their homes this winter.

In some Chicago ZIP codes, nearly half of all households were behind on their gas bills as of last month, a Chicago Sun-Times analysis has found.
