Gary Neville believes Chelsea's squad are experienced enough to deal with the ongoing Roman Abramovich saga.
The Blues are currently up for sale after the Russian billionaire released a statement last week confirming he is looking for a new buyer of the west London club.
Chelsea played their first Premier League match since the statement was released on Saturday afternoon and they came out comfortable 4-0 winners away at Burnley, in what was a fine second-half performance from Thomas Tuchel's men.
With the future of the club still up in the air - when it comes to a new owner - there could be some heads swayed in the dressing room, but Neville thinks the side are more than experienced enough to cope with the uncertainty.
Speaking on The Gary Neville Podcast on Sunday evening, the former Manchester United and England defender said: "They’ve got a very experienced dressing room and a very experienced manager.
"This is unprecedented, but I do think they’re handling it well, they’re experienced to know that they don’t want this, there’s nothing to do with them, the players and the manager - we know it’s not them.
"If anything, they will be absolutely against it, the same as everyone else is in this country and most of the world.
"My view on it is because of that they will compete and continue to be professional, they’ll be respectful of the situation the club is in with their owner and the alleged association and the fact that he is selling the club, so it’s not going to go away, this, for them.
"I do think they are experienced enough to handle it and they’ve got a good bunch of players who have had success in the last 12 months. They’re in a good place.
"They were very unlucky not to win that League Cup final last weekend; the chances they had in that game were incredible."
Neville's comments on Chelsea go against reports coming out of Italy over the weekend that suggest midfielder Jorginho is facing uncertainty over his future because of the Abramovich saga.
The Italy international sees his contract at Stamford Bridge expire at the end of next season and the Blues could consider selling the midfielder in the summer to avoid losing him on a free transfer.
Jorginho's Chelsea team-mate, N'Golo Kante, last week admitted that the players in the Blues squad were "not prepared" for the news of Abramovich selling the club.
Speaking to Sky Sports, the Frenchman said: "It's something we were not prepared for, it came quickly. But the only thing we can do, because we don’t control these things, is to do the best that we have always done.
"Which means that playing football at the best [possible level], for us, for the club, for the fans and see how the things are going and it’s the only thing we can control."
