Gary Neville makes Sir Alex Ferguson point about Jurgen Klopp habit at Liverpool

Gary Neville has compared Jurgen Klopp’s recent celebrations to those of Sir Alex Ferguson.

Liverpool recently claimed a 1-0 win over West Ham in the Premier League to keep themselves in the title race alongside Manchester City.

The Reds are six points adrift of City after their 4-1 win over Manchester United at the weekend, and do have a game in hand.

After Liverpool beat West Ham, Klopp took part in his traditional fist pump celebration in front of the Kop.

Speaking shortly after Man City’s win over Man United, Neville remarked on Klopp’s celebrations and made a comparison with his old manager.

Neville also went on to explain why the title race is very much on, and names the six Liverpool players who are a “massive threat” to Man City.

“We’ve definitely got a title race, irrespective of whether both teams have got three points,” Neville told Sky Sports on his podcast recorded at the Etihad Stadium,

“Man City will come out of here flying, they'll be absolutely buzzing with what they’ve done (against Man United).

“But we have still got a title race because Liverpool are dangerous.

“Liverpool, I think, have got the better forward players in their squad and in the team, I really believe that.

“You look at Mane, Salah, Firmino, Jota, Diaz and Origi - six players there that really are a massive threat. Three or four of them are out of this world, a couple are world class.

“That makes them a real threat towards the end of the season, and Liverpool have won a trophy already, we saw that at Wembley.

“They’ve got the bit between their teeth, and you saw Jurgen Klopp’s celebration after that game against West Ham - that was telling.

“Sir Alex Ferguson used to do that sometimes, almost over-celebrate when it was a 1-0 because he knew how big it was.

“I don’t think you can say Liverpool struggled to beat West Ham but Man City batter United - Liverpool could batter United in a few weeks’ time when they play them.

“We’ve seen City struggle here against Tottenham and lose the game, so there’s a long way to go.

“We have got a title race, we’ve got two brilliant teams and it will be interesting to see how it plays out.”
