Former Manchester United defender Gary Neville has already outlined why Marcus Rashford should stay at Old Trafford this summer amid speculation linking him with a move to Arsenal.
The United academy graduate, who has netted just five goals this season, has experienced a difficult past few months and his form has nosedived. Genuine concerns about his welfare have also been raised following lacklustre showings, particularly against Aston Villa in the FA Cup in January.
Following his omission from the starting line-up against Manchester City earlier this month, Rashford - as reported by the Manchester Evening News - was considering his future at the club. Cristiano Ronaldo and Edinson Cavani were both absent for the trip to the Etihad Stadium and, despite that, Ralf Rangnick favoured Bruno Fernandes in attack over Rashford.

With speculation concerning his future mounting, Arsenal have become the latest club to be credited with interest in his signature. Liverpool, too, have also been linked with him in recent weeks.
However, former United skipper Neville has recently urged Rashford to stay put and get his Reds career back on track. He has highlighted the importance of the 24-year-old getting to the end of this season and recharging the batteries over the summer, ahead of opening a fresh chapter at Old Trafford next term.
Neville told Sky Sports : "I get the fact he's not playing at the moment, his form is poor. He's drained of confidence and no one knows what's happened to him.
"He looks completely uncomfortable and unhappy on the pitch. When he came on against Atletico Madrid, again, he just looked like there was nothing there.
"He needs to get to the end of this season. He needs to regroup, reset and probably just, you know, I had a period like that in my football career at Manchester United.
"In 2000 I had to get to the summer and re-evaluate. Maybe I wasn't under as much scrutiny at the time.
"But I do feel like Marcus Rashford needs to just go away this summer. Four weeks where he reassesses himself, reassesses what he wants in life, who he wants around him. He needs to reassess what's important to him and get back to doing what he was doing before, which is playing football really well with that freedom.
"He's not playing with freedom at this moment in time. I'd hate to think that an academy player at the age of nine, that's got great talent, would leave just after his first bad period, even though it's probably been 12 to 18 months now."
Fellow Sky Sports pundit Paul Merson also recently made it clear that Rashford should stay put, saying: "It's been two or three months and there is talk of Rashford being moved on. Seriously?
"No manager in their right mind would come to Old Trafford and offload Rashford."
