Gary Neville appears to have changed his mind over Liverpool’s chances of winning the Premier League title.
The Reds remain one point behind leaders Manchester City following their 2-2 draw at the Etihad Stadium. Diogo Jota and Sadio Mane scored the goals for Liverpool to earn a stalemate at the Etihad Stadium.
Jurgen Klopp’s side now have seven league matches left to play in order to try and leapfrog Man City in their quest for the league title. However, Neville believes that the current leaders are the favourites.

During the recent international break, Neville claimed that he thought Liverpool were the team he fancied to win the title . After Sunday’s draw, the former Manchester United captain appears to have changed his mind.
“I’ve said City all along and I thought Liverpool, a few weeks ago, they might be there,” Neville told Sky Sports.
“But I think City, just City. There’s no science behind that.”
Neville went on to look at Liverpool and Man City’s remaining fixtures, and explained why he thinks the Reds may have a couple of matches he’d prefer to have.
“In the cup competitions, anything could happen,” said Neville. “In the Premier League, we’ve looked at City and thought that’s an easy run-in but actually that’s because we’re looking at Merseyside derby and Manchester United which in an ordinary season would be tough.
“Those two teams are appalling, they could be easier than any of the teams than any of the teams Manchester City have got.
“Watford are fighting for their lives, Leeds have to win games, Newcastle away (for Liverpool).
“You look at Liverpool’s run in, Merseyside derby, Tottenham - you think it’s a tough run in but it’s not.
“I’d rather play Manchester United and Everton at home than West Ham away.”
