Gary Neville has branded Marcus Rashford potentially leaving Manchester United a 'lose/lose' scenario for all involved.
Manchester Evening News reported this week that Rashford was considering his future at the club after Sunday's defeat to Man City. The 24-year-old made an underwhelming cameo in the loss and it is believed to have led to him thinking about moving on.
Pundits such as Paul Merson, have called on Rashford to stay at the club but now former United full back Neville has claimed it would be a failure if the academy graduate was allowed to leave. In a tweet, he said: "Rashford.

"1. A failure for United’s football department if he leaves. 2. A very poor look for Marcus Rashford if he can’t get his form right to break into this team.
"3. Marcus Rashford /team would be naive if they think his off-pitch voice will carry without the Manchester United badge. Lose/lose if he goes. Sort it out."
Neville was later questioned about why the team he plays for affects Rashford's work off the field. The Sky Sports pundit explained: "It’s just a proven fact if you play for United you will gain more traction and reach with your voice.
"This isn’t just for Rashford. It’s for all of us that played for the club."
Rio Ferdinand, one of Neville's former teammates at United agreed with this reasoning. The ex-centre-back simply replied: "Facts."
When asked what Rashford needs to do to regain his place in the starting XI, Rangnick explained in his pre-match press conference: "To play on the same level he trains. This is all, we spoke about that a week ago, two weeks ago in a press conference.
"Marcus is training well, he's got an abundant of talent, he's got almost everything you need for a modern striker. It's about transforming the performance of the training sessions into the regular games."
