Gary Neville and Jamie Redknapp believe Tottenham Hotspur will win trophies under Antonio Conte if they back him in the transfer market.
Spurs suffered a huge loss in the early race for top four as Liverpool beat them 2-1 in north London on Sunday. A first-half brace from Egypt star Mohamed Salah was enough to secure all three points for the Reds, who've struggled in the Premier League so far this season.
Tottenham were booed off by their own fans at half-time as Jurgen Klopp's side took a 2-0 lead with them into the break. Harry Kane managed to peg one back in the second-half but it wasn't enough to get anything from the game.

Antonio Conte's side remain fourth in the Premier League, which is a sign that the manager gets results. However, Neville and Redknapp fear that Spurs will waste his talents if they don't sign players for him. If they do back him in the transfer market, however, they can see Tottenham winning trophies ahead of the likes of Manchester United.
"Manchester United will spend more money so you would say that they would have a better chance," Neville said on Sky Sports after the game. "But, if they were both spending the same sort of money from now, I would say Tottenham."
Redknapp then added: "There are two key factors for this football club to progress. Harry Kane doesn’t sign [a new contract] and Antonio Conte finds a better option, maybe at Juventus or whatever. What sort of mess are you going to be in then? If you give Conte the opportunity to sign players and build a team here, I would have to say Tottenham."
The message to Daniel Levy and Co. is clear: give Conte the players he wants and Spurs could succeed as a result. Whether the club agree to those demands is another matter.
