Gary Neville and Jamie Carragher's 'worrying' Leeds United disagreement amid relegation verdicts

Gary Neville and Jamie Carragher have disagreed on Leeds United's end-of-season fate, with the former Manchester United star believing that the Whites will still manage to stay up.

Javi Gracia's side still need to face tough opponents in Manchester City, Newcastle United and Tottenham within their last five matches of the season, something that leaves the former Liverpool defender uneasy.

Carragher also was quick to point out the Whites' trend of conceding lots of goals as of recent matches, and despite the ship being 'steadied', he can still see Leeds going down.

"I was initially convinced [by Gracia] because we know he's a good manager, we saw what he did at Watford and he has steadied the ship," Carragher said on the latest episode of the Overlap.

"I just think what has happened of late is really worrying. I think when teams start conceding goals, and lots of goals, and I just felt that Leicester game at home was a game they had to win when you look at the games that they have to come.

"But what I think at the moment is a two or three-point gap between themselves and the bottom three, and the way the teams are playing down there, that could be a decent gap."

"I don’t have Leeds going down at the moment," Neville replied. "They’re in big trouble, but I don’t have them going down, I’ve got them just hanging on."
