Gary Lucy has detailed why he split with his pregnant ex Love Island star Laura Anderson after the pair announced she was pregnant with their first child together.
The Hollyoaks and former EastEnders star has revealed he was dumped by the reality TV star after the soap actor refused to move to her native Scotland.
Gary explained: "Laura did want me to move but I have my responsibilities here. I have four kids and all the things that go along with that so it’s very difficult, if not impossible, to uproot at this time."
The actor explained that he needs to remain in Essex where his children live after he and their mother divorced.
"I wish I could break myself in half. I would if I could," the Hollyoaks star told The Sun.
Gary has two sons and two daughters with his former wife Natasha.
The soap actor met the Love Island star when the pair were filming E4's Celebs Go Dating in October last year.
Gary explained that he loves the Love Island star more than ever but is looking forward to co-parenting their child together.
Gary praised his "incredible" and "wonderful" pregnant ex as he admitted he "would have loved things to have worked out" and will "never stop loving her".
The soap actor reiterated that their baby is the pair's number one priority and he will do all he can to be their for Laura and their baby.

After announcing she was expecting her first child with Gary, Laura posted a series of cryptic posts and deleted photos of the actor from her Instagram.
Alongside a snap of herself posing alongside her beloved dog, Laura wrote in her stories: "I know I've been quiet on here and not myself this week or so I'm going through a very difficult time, I actually don't think I've ever felt so stressed in my life.
"As we know Instagram isn't real life but oversharing negativity has never been something I like doing. Anyway, my thought of the day for us all is - never lose yourself or your voice."
Gary subsequently confirmed he had split with the Love Island star.
