Arsenal were beaten 2-0 by Liverpool at the Emirates on Wednesday night, as they hunt down a place in next season's Champions League and Aaron Ramsdale was at fault for the crucial opener.
Mikel Arteta's side went into the game off the back of a five-match winning streak, with their latest victory against Leicester no doubt filling them with confidence. But they were undone by a Liverpool side with an embarrassment of riches in attack.
Roberto Firmino came off the bench to all but kill the game after Diogo Jota had fired them ahead at the start of the second half, after an evenly matched opening 45 minutes. But it was Ramsdale who attracted criticism after the Portuguese's important strike, with the ball evading the England international at his near post.

Finding room on the left-hand side of the penalty area, Jota took aim and hit a well-struck shot towards the bottom right corner. Ramsdale had shifted just too far to his left, and despite getting a touch on the ball, could only watch it nestle in the back of the net.
After the goal, Match Of The Day presenter and former Tottenham striker Gary Lineker took to Twitter to offer Ramsdale a word of advice. Instead of criticising the summer transfer further, he offered some comforting words.
"Huge goal for@LFC," Lineker wrote on Twitter. "Just about the only error I can recall Ramsdale making at @Arsenal. Everyone makes them. It’s how you respond to them that counts."
Ramsdale has been a standout performer since arriving at the club from Sheffield United in the summer transfer window. Arsenal came in for plenty of criticism for splashing £30 million on the goalkeeper but the purchase has been justified since, with the 23-year-old keeping 12 clean sheets in the top-flight.
