Gary Lineker has mocked Manchester United after their Premier League defeat to Everton on Saturday afternoon.
The former Toffees forward added salt to United's gaping wound after Anthony Gordon's first-half effort proved to be the difference at Goodison Park. United sit in seventh with any lingering hope of qualifying for the Champions League seemingly dashed by Frank Lampard's side.
Leaving Merseyside empty-handed added to the evergrowing misery at Old Trafford and saw their dismal run extend. With just three wins in their last 12, their shocking season continues.

Lineker was quick to praise his old club and aim a ruthless quip at the defeated visitors. He tweeted: "Massive win for @Everton. I know it’s only against @ManUtd but it’s huge nevertheless."
For Ralf Rangnick, he has seven games to end the season on a high but faces a mammoth task with a trip to Anfield on the horizon. It was the same old story for United on Saturday as they struggled to create chances against their relegation-threatened opposition.
