Former England international Gary Lineker has poked fun at Tottenham Hotspur's calamitous defeat to Newcastle United. The Magpies scored five goals inside the opening 21 minutes to leave the visitors shell shocked.
A brace from Jacob Murphy and Alexander Isak, alongside a first-half strike from Joelinton gave Eddie Howe's side a remarkable 5-0 lead at the break. Lineker poked fun at his former club, stating alarms had gone off in the away dressing room at half-time.
The jibe was a nod to the nationwide test of the Government's emergency alert system, which went off at the break during Sunday's game. Lineker tweeted: "Alarms have gone off in the Spurs dressing room at half time."

Alarm bells were certainly ringing on the pitch as Howe's men moved six points clear of their top-four rivals and up into third with Manchester United out of action in the FA Cup this weekend. Harry Kane pulled one back for the visitors after the restart, but Newcastle continued their dominance.
Miggy Almiron came off the bench to set up Callum Wilson for the Magpies' sixth to complete their rout. The Magpies bounced back from a disappointing defeat against Aston Villa to reaffirm their Champions League credentials.
