When asked how special it will be to lead the team out at the World Cup, Page said: "To now be leading them in a World Cup, you dream about that as a kid. You dream about playing in a World Cup.
"I didn't quite get there as a player, but to do it now as a manager is incredible. What we've got now in that the changing room with the group of players we've got is a credit to them and they deserve all the plaudits they get.
"But now we're here we want to give a good account of ourselves and show the world what we're all about."
Lineker then responded: "Diolch, Rob. Pwb lwc!"
