Match of the Day host Gary Lineker believes Erling Haaland 's transfer to Manchester City symbolises the Premier League 's dominance over other top-flight European leagues.
Pep Guardiola's side announced the signing of Haaland, 21, on a five-year deal on Monday morning. The Norwegian forward has just completed a prolific two-and-half-year spell at Borussia Dortmund, scoring 62 goals in just 67 Bundesliga outings.
Several top clubs were interested in signing Haaland - including Spanish giants Real Madrid and Barcelona - but the youngster chose to join City. His dad, Alf-Inge, played for the club between 2000 and 2003, making 47 appearances in all competitions.
