Gary Lineker has congratulated Manchester City after two of their players were announced as the Premier League's player and young player of the season, holding off a challenge from Liverpool.
Belgian midfielder Keven De Bruyne has been declared the Premier League Player of the Season while his English team-mate Phil Foden has picked up the Young Player of the Season accolade. Despite Liverpool's continued push for an unprecedented quadruple of major honours, it is City who still sit one point clear at the top of the table ahead of the final day of an enthralling campaign.
De Bruyne has enjoyed a superb season for Pep Guardiola's side, scoring 15 league goals in 29 appearances, as well as providing seven assists. The midfielder edged out Mohamed Salah for the award, despite the Egyptian being crowned the Football Writers' Player of the Year earlier this month. Salah's Liverpool team-mate Trent Alexander-Arnold was also shortlisted for the award.
