Gary Lineker is in agreement with former Liverpool striker Michael Owen about Erling Haaland.
The Manchester City forward was in action for his Premier League debut against West Ham. He scored twice as City ran out 2-0 winners at the London Stadium.
Haaland’s first goal came from the penalty spot, after he was fouled by substitute goalkeeper Alphonse Areola. His second was the result of a Kevin De Bruyne through ball, shortly before he was replaced by Julian Alvarez.

Former Anfield striker Owen was quick to hand out praise to Haaland on Twitter. The ex-Reds front man went on to send a message to Liverpool and all other teams in the Premier League that they should be wary of Man City’s new signing.
“This guy is an absolute goal scoring machine,” wrote Owen. “If this is the sign of things to come, every defence in the Premier League needs to be worried.”
Lineker was in agreement with Owen with his verdict on Haaland. The BBC pundit went on to provide a goal prediction for the Man City striker.
“He’s unstoppable is Erling Haaland,” wrote Lineker on Twitter. “A proper striker whose goal scoring numbers will be huge. A truly prodigious talent.”
Lineker also praised Liverpool striker Darwin Nunez earlier in the weekend. The Uruguayan scored and provided an assist as the Reds were held to a 2-2 draw with Fulham on Saturday.
“Darwin Nunez equalises for Liverpool”, wrote Lineker on Saturday. “Very clear, from that goal alone, that he’ll score bundles. The movement of a goal-scorer.”
