A death row inmate has been executed after spending over a decade in prison for fatally stabbing his estranged wife and drowning her 6-year-old daughter in a bathtub.
Gary Green, 51, received a lethal injection for the September 2009 deaths of Lovetta Armstead, 32, and her daughter, Jazzmen Montgomery, at their home in Dallas.
The girl’s father, Ray Montgomery, said earlier he is not cheering for Green’s execution but sees it as the justice system at work.
