Gary Glitter's son shares 'dream' of living with his dad after jail release

Gary Glitter ’s son says he ‘dreams’ of living with his father now that he has been released from jail.

The disgraced singer was imprisoned as part of a 16-year sentence - of which he only served half - after being found guilty of a series of child sex offences on three young girls aged between eight and 13.

Gary - real name Paul Francis Gadd - was convicted of six offences which took place in the 1970s and 1980s - including the attempted rape of a child who was just eight years old, and having unlawful sex with a girl of just 12 years old - a charge which carries a life sentence.

However, at the time of sentencing, the convicted paedophile received a standard determinate or fixed-term sentence for his 2015 imprisonment - which meant that he was automatically released on licence after he served half of his sentence.

Now, Gary’s son, Gary Pantoja Sosa, said that the pair have been speaking regularly on the phone and he hopes to live in the same country as his criminal father.

In a new interview with MailOnline, Gary Jr - who currently resides in Gran Canaria, Spain: said: “I have never met my father in person, because that has never been possible, but we speak on the phone all the time.”

He went on: “My dream is that we will live in the same country. I don't know how we will make that happen, but we have talked about it, and it's possible I will live with my father.

“I know it is dangerous for him in Britain, as there is so much hatred towards him, so we will need to keep a low profile and stay somewhere out of the way.”

His son’s hopes come as it was revealed that the convicted paedophile is being "treated like royalty" in the bail hostel where he is staying after his release from prison , it has been reported.
