Gary Bowyer was left escorting Queen's Park boss Owen Coyle off the pitch after his Dundee side lifted the Championship trphy.
The Dark Blues were relegated from the Scottish Premiership last season but have returned at the first time of asking under the former Salford City boss in bonkers circumstances. They headed into the match at Ochilview knowing avoiding defeat to the Spiders - who had to win to go up - was the path to the top flight and they ran out 5-3 winners.
After a madcap first half ended 3-3, two goals in the second half ensured glory and a pitch invasion from the large travelling support at Stenhousemuir's ground ensued. Amid the carnage, Bowyer side-stepped the flock of Dundee supporters to protect his counterpart who was left wondering how he'd get back to his dressing room, guiding him through a parting in the sea of dark blue.
For Queen's Park, they dropped into third thanks to Ayr United's win at Inverness. Their playoff campaign will begin at the quarter-final stage against Partick Thistle.
