The Take That singer, now 55, opened up in the band’s new Netflix docuseries, recalling how he withdrew from public life in the late 1990s after his solo career stalled following the group’s initial split. He said the experience triggered intense self-doubt, jealousy and an eating disorder that would take years to overcome.
