Garth Crooks sympathises with Leeds United boss Jesse Marsch over key Crysencio Summerville incident

BBC Sport pundit Garth Crooks believes Jesse Marsch had every right to remonstrate with officials after Crysencio Summerville was denied a stonewall penalty. The Leeds United substitute was pushed to the ground under pressure from Brentford's Aaron Hickey, but neither the referee of VAR looked at the incident.

The Leeds United head coach was understandably incensed by the decision, but was shown a straight red for his actions following the decision. Crooks also believes there was some degree of fortune around Ivan Toney's penalty.

He told the BBC: "The penalty given for the tackle on Toney was dubious but there was nothing remotely doubtful about the way the Brentford striker put away his hat-trick against Leeds. Each goal was brilliantly taken but his third was quite special.
