Country music star Garth Brooks has once again praised Ireland following his successful five nights at Croke Park.
The Friends in Low Places hitmaker spoke to fans about his love for Ireland on his latest Facebook Live show Inside Studio G, gushing about the Irish people. He told viewers: "I can tell you this. If people here in the States or anywhere else around the world say, 'well stay there, Garth!' I'm fine with this."
He added: "They're ahead of all of us. Ireland is ahead of all of us. Some countries are ahead in technology, some countries are ahead in industry, some countries are ahead in their laws defending freedom and the military.
"Ireland is ahead of all of us in loving one another. They just are. They treat each other really, really good.
"Thank you to all the Irish fans who took the American fans in like they were neighbours!" Garth played five sold out shows at Dublin's Croke Park earlier this month.
During his first show at the stadium, the 60 year old singer-songwriter broke down in tears, falling to his knees in awe of the crowd. Choking back the emotion, he told the audience: "We came back. I just want to enjoy this moment. I love you.
"I don’t know what words could describe this, and the return since 1997, so I’ll not try. I came here for one purpose and that was to raise some hell." Garth made the most of his time in Ireland, visiting Kerry, Limerick and Wicklow.
The performer got a tour of Glendalough in County Wicklow, had a sing-song in a pub in Dingle, County Kerry and even joined Dublin north inner city locals in a playground for a spot of spontaneous music.
