Country music legends Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood are set to star in a new docuseries titled 'Friends in Low Places,' which will be available for streaming on Amazon Prime Video starting Thursday, March 7. The series will follow the couple and their friends as they embark on the journey of opening a honky-tonk bar in the heart of Nashville, Tennessee.
Brooks expressed his excitement about the project, stating, 'This was so much more than I bargained for! What we have built is far more than just a business. This is by far the craziest ride I have ever been on.' Yearwood echoed his sentiments, saying, 'We started down this road fueled by passion, dedication, and a shared vision. I'm really proud of the team that has built the Friends Bar and Honky Tonk. We are excited to share the culmination of everyone's efforts. It's even bigger than we dreamed!'
The four-story bar, located on Lower Broadway in Music City, pays tribute to Brooks' roots and has been created with the help of his friends, day-one tour team, and an all-star hospitality group. The cast of the series includes Benjamin and Max Goldberg, who oversee the hospitality aspect, as well as Jenny Deathride Bratt and Camille Tambunting of Strategic Hospitality, who are managing the build.
Brooks emphasized the importance of creating a safe and welcoming environment at the bar, mentioning that Bud Light will be available following the company's collaboration with transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney. 'I want it to be a place you feel safe in. I want it to be a place where you feel like there are manners and people like one another,' Brooks stated.
'Friends in Low Places' is produced by Amazon MGM Studios and Casey Patterson Entertainment, with Brooks, Casey Patterson, and Carol Donovan serving as executive producers. Amazon Prime Video is also the exclusive streaming platform for Brooks' music catalog.
