Arsenal have been heavily linked with a number of strikers as Mikel Arteta looks to strengthen his attack ahead of next season.
Two of the strikers the Gunners have been linked with were on show in the match between England and Italy, with Tammy Abraham leading the line for Gareth Southgate's side and Gianluca Scamacca featuring for the Azzurri. Both Abraham and Scamacca had impressive seasons for their respective clubs in Serie A, with the former scoring 17 goals compared to the latter's 16 in Italy's top-flight.
Southgate commented on his decision to start the former Chelsea striker ahead of Tottenham's Harry Kane on Saturday night admitting the 24-year-old's goal record is the 'best in the England team'. The Roma striker is valued around £75million which could make any potential deal a struggle considering the Gunners do not have the financial benefit offered by Champions League football next season.

Speaking to Channel 4 prior to kick-off, the England manager said: "Without a doubt, there are a few players in the team that have their position at stake and Tammy’s goal record is the best in this England team this season. He's playing in a slightly different league, but it is not easy scoring goals in that division."
Abraham has shown in the past he can score goals in the Premier League when given a run as a starting striker, scoring 15 goals in 34 league appearances in the 2019/20 season under Frank Lampard. Southgate recognised the ability of the 24-year-old and has seemingly told Arsenal and Mikel Arteta how best to utilise the striker should he make the move to the Emirates Stadium this summer.
"Again, we know he is a player that if we get the ball into him in between the posts and the right areas he will finish. It will be interesting to us to see how the rest of his game, the build-up play, the pressing and how that all fits in as well," Southgate admitted before the game.
Abraham failed to get on the scoresheet for the Three Lions against Italy, being replaced by Kane in the 65th minute. Meanwhile, Scamacca also failed to really make an impression but showed signs of quality for the away side before being replaced by Giacomo Raspadori just 10 minutes after Abraham's departure.
