Gareth Bale is putting no time frame on a decision over his club future after Wales’ World Cup qualifying play-off victory over Ukraine placed any potential retirement plans on hold.

Bale, who is a free agent after his contract at Real Madrid expired at the end of the season, played a major role in a 1-0 win at the Cardiff City Stadium yesterday, with his first-half free-kick headed into his own net by Ukrainian skipper Andriy Yarmolenko to send Wales to their first World Cup since 1958.
