Gardner Minshew has been named the starting quarterback for the Las Vegas Raiders as confirmed by coach Antonio Pierce on Sunday. Minshew secured the starting position over Aidan O'Connell, solidifying his role as the leader of the Raiders' offense for the upcoming season.

The decision comes ahead of the Raiders' final preseason game where they are set to face off against the San Francisco 49ers on Friday. This game will serve as a crucial opportunity for Minshew to further establish his chemistry with the team and fine-tune the offensive strategies before the regular season kicks off.
