Gardai have sent 40 people to appear before Dublin District Courts this morning following a comprehensive policing operation conducted as part of Operation Thor in North Dublin.
This operation was launched in November 2015 and was designed to tackle the anticipated increase in number of burglaries and associated criminal activities that usually occur in winter months.
Officers have been undertaking targeted enforcement and preventative activity and have successfully reduced the rate of winter burglaries, leading to a significant decline in property-related crime since its introduction in 2015.
