Gardai investigating the murder of 22-year-old Mahamud Ilyas sealed off a property in west Dublin.
The Irish Mirror can reveal that garda forensics have been examining the apartment since early morning. Investigators believe the apartment is where the young man was viciously beaten but have yet to establish if he died there.
Mahamud's remains were discovered in a field in rural Co Meath on Saturday afternoon. His body was found wrapped in cloth-like material in a field in Belgree Lane, Kilbride.

Mahamud lived in the west Dublin area but cops believe his body was driven to the area and dumped. This morning, gardai cordoned off an apartment duplex in Blanchardstown.
Our pictures show six members of the Garda Technical Bureau examining the steps up to the property before entering to carry out their work. A garda spokesman confirmed: "A domestic residence in the Dublin 15 area has been declared a crime scene and sealed off for examination by the Garda Technical Bureau."
We have also learned that gardai believe that Mahamud may have been killed by one or more persons known to him. Officers are keen to speak to anyone who may have seen or spoken with him between Friday after 10am to Saturday afternoon.
The murder probe is being led from Ashbourne Garda Station and they are working closely with their colleagues in Blanchardstown. A spokeswoman said: "They are particularly appealing to any persons who may have seen or spoken with Mahamud between Friday 9th December, 2022 after 10am to Saturday afternoon 10th December, 2022.
"Any persons with any information on the movements of Mahamud are asked to contact the investigating team. Gardai continue to appeal to anyone who travelled along Belgree Lane, Kilbride on Friday 9th or Saturday 10th of December, to come forward.
"Motorists with dashcam footage from this location are asked to make it available to Gardai. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Incident Room at Ashbourne Garda Station on 01 8010600, the Garda confidential Line 1800 666 111 or any Garda station."
A man in his 50s has also been arrested by gardai investigating the murder of Mahamud. The spokesman added: "The man was arrested earlier today, Tuesday 13th December 2022, in the Dublin 15 area.
"He is currently detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984 at Blanchardstown Garda Station."
