A man has died after getting into difficulty while swimming at a popular Irish beach on Sunday.
Gardai and emergency services rushed to the scene after the man began struggling while in the water at Killiney Beach in Dublin on Sunday morning.
The swimmer, who was in his 80s, received treatment at the scene.

He was taken to St Vincent’s Hospital where he was later sadly pronounced dead.
A garda spokesperson said: "Gardaí and emergency services attended an incident after a man got into difficulty in the water at Killiney Beach in Dublin earlier this morning, Sunday, 8th May 2022.
"The man (80s) received treatment at the scene and was taken to St Vincent’s Hospital where he was later pronounced deceased."
