Gardai have evacuated an area in Donegal following an apparent explosion this afternoon.
The incident took place on the outskirts of Bunbeg earlier today. Emergency services are at the scene and the area has been evacuated.
Gardai confirmed they are not in a position to confirm any casualties at the moment. The Donegal Fire Brigade and National Ambulance Service are attending the scene.
The road remains sealed off to traffic and local diversions are in place. The Irish Defence Forces Explosive Ordnance Disposal has been requested.
