A man has been hospitalised after he was injured in a shooting incident in Limerick last night.
Gardaí rushed to the scene at John Carew Park in the city at around 10.30pm where they found a man with suspected gunshot wounds.
Gardaí later confirmed the victim, a man in his 20s, received a number of apparent pellet wounds. He was taken to University Hospital Limerick to receive treatment for non-life threatening injuries.

Gardaí in Roxboro are now investigating the shooting incident and have appealed for witnesses having made no arrests.
In a statement to the Irish Mirror, they said: "Gardaí in Roxboro are investigating a shooting incident which occurred in the John Carew Park area of Limerick on Tuesday, 30th August 2022.
"The incident occurred at approximately 10.30pm when a man, aged in his 20s, received a number of apparent pellet wounds.
"He was later taken to University Hospital Limerick to receive treatment for non-life threatening injuries.
"No arrests have been made. Enquiries ongoing.
"Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have any information or who may have witnessed this incident to contact them at Roxboro Garda Station 061 214 340 or the Garda Confidential Line 1800 666 111."
